Sundanese Virtual Angklung
Angklung is a multitonal musical instrument (double -pitched) that is traditionally developed in Sundanese society on the island of western Java. This instrument is made of bamboo, sounded by shaking (the sound is caused by a bamboo pipe body collision) so as to produce a vibrating sound in a tone arrangement 2, 3, up to 4 tones in each size, both large and small. Dictionary of the Sunda Language by Jonathan Rigg, published in 1862 in Batavia, wrote that angklung is a musical instrument made of bamboo pipes, which are cut in the edges of them, resembling pipes in an organ, and tied together in a frame, vibrated to produce sounds. Angklung is registered as the great work of the oral and non -joined cultural heritage of Humans from UNESCO since November 2010.
