A riddle is a type of riddle whose statement is formulated in rhyme.

These are simple enigmas generally addressed to the child public in which fruits, animals, daily objects, etc. must be guess, etc. When guiding children, they have an educational component by representing a fun way to learn words and traditions.

The riddles are raised in different metro and composition formats, although the octosyllable verses, the stanza of two or four verses and the assonant or consonant rhymes in all verses or, more commonly, in alternate verses are very common. The riddles must have characteristics of the object to be guess. The riddles have a popular origin and are grouped into compilations.
