Sending a plain text email or text message is like putting a postcard in the mail: the mailman and anyone else can read it. If you want to keep your message private, you put it in an envelope.

Digital Envelope creates a secure envelope of encryption to keep your messages private, be they email, text, or instant messages. With just a few quick clicks, your message can be sealed (or opened) and shared to your other apps. You don't have to change your regular messaging service. Communicate your personal information with peace of mind, knowing it was sent in a secure Digital Envelope.

You can type, paste or share your message into the "Message" field. Enter your Seal, click the "Seal" button and your message has been enclosed in a secure Envelope.

The Envelope is easy to share with other apps, so you can send it using your existing messaging services. But be sure the recipient also has the Digital Envelope app so they can open your message.

There are multiple methods available for creating and sending Seals, including: entering a password, click the "+" button to generate a random password, copy and paste text from another source, or scan a bar-code or QR code.

Because Digital Envelope does all of the encrypting directly on your device, and because it sends both the Seal and the Envelope straight from your device to the messaging systems of your choice, not through our own messaging service, we never come in contact with your data.

And, because Digital Envelope doesn't save any data in the app on your device (not your Messages, Seals or Envelopes), there is minimal opportunity for your information to fall into the wrong hands. The drawback is that Digital Envelope cannot aid in recovering a lost Seal, Message or Envelope. They are always deleted immediately after sharing or closing the app.

"Digital Envelope Pro" requires NO special permissions for EXTRA secure processing, while "Digital Envelope" requires internet and network state for Google Admob support.
