There was an old military base. Data shows it was abandoned when something from the experimental chamber escaped and killed five people. All around me was sumptuous wealth, and I was in the center of it all, cradled by the soft comfort of a mattress and silk sheets. I'd heard about these places. Penthouses. Places that once existed for those with power and money. Throwing my feet off the bed, I caught a glance at myself in the mirror. I looked different-- clean, shaved-- but I was still me. It couldn't be-- surely-- but no, I'd heard rumors that the place I'd entered was a facility testing the possibility of traveling dimensions. The phone rang at my side.
